Trying to be happy!

Okay, so I'm really trying to get out of this BLUE funk that I'm in... Chuck sent me more pictures of Rosie Lyn. She is so adorable! And Marisa is getting so dang BIG! I honestly cannot wait to see them in 2 weeks! 2 WEEKS I cannot wait that long... I am like a kid when it comes to waiting for things like this! I HATE waiting for surprises, holiday's, vacations, etc...

So, the doctors increased the dose of my diabetes medication... so I've been sick for 2 days... Hopefully by the time I go to New Mexico I will feel better. I DON'T want to go to work tomorrow! Sometimes I get really frustrated with my job, and I just want something different... but I know it the right job for me, at the moment which doesn't mean it will be right for me in 5 days, LOL!

A little bummed

So, I've been feeling pretty bummed the last few days. My brother and his wife are celebrating a new baby, and I'm hundreds of miles away. I know I'm going to see them in 2 weeks, and I'm super excited about that... but it's tough knowing that their new baby is here, growing and cooing and crying and being cute... and I'm stuck in cold ol' Idaho missing out on the first 2 weeks of her life.

Things are just kind of blue right now... I feel REALLY super lonely and out of the loop on things. I mean, my BFF Rachel is in Arizona, and like totally living it up being an amazing new mommy to a just amazing looking little boy Gabriel. Another baby I won't be able to see... No bueno! And like, Rachel is like the only person who gets me... so whatev. I get it... people move on and stuff... and I don't move on... So, yes, the blue-ness continues.

Everything is basically good with life, I'm just feeling super lonely and depressed and all that jazz.

The one bright part of the day is, I FINALLY got to see a picture of Rosie Lyn, the niece that is named after me, her Auntie Kenz... So............... Here is a picture for your enjoyment!!!


I know this is a pretty blurry or whatev, but it came off my cell phone... so yeah.

GREAT NEWS!!!!!

My newest niece was born today at 4 AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rosie Lyn Bagshaw is 6 lbs 2 oz and 18 inches long. She is going to have to be in the NICU for a few days because she had some weird test results, but it should all be good! I HOPE I'll get some pictures soon! (AND, P.S. They gave Rosie MY middle name!!!! I was SO EXCITED ABOUT that!!)

So, I guess I should explain the shot thing to people! Tambi asked a great question! She wanted to know why I needed shots!! Well, I thought I would give the story. I had to get a TON of blood work done to figure out why my blood sugar was so messed up. So, they found out that my body creates and stores 300 times the insulin than is needed..... And that's NO BUENO... So, I have to take shots that will help destroy insulin. I'll probably have to take them for the rest of my life. I go back to the doctor tomorrow, so we'll see what he says. Hopefully it will all work out. My sugars have still been crazy! The other day I ate a candy bar, so you would think my sugar would go up...... NO! It went down, WAY DOWN! So, it was like 40 instead of 90-120 like it should have been. So, it's been a crazy adventure.

Today's blog is dedicated to.......

Okay, so today at work I was talking with my co-workers about blogs and stuff. My great friend Bernie reminded me that I haven't updated my blog in a REALLY long time! So, today my blog is dedicated to her :) I bet she'll be oh-so-excited about this!

So, for an update... Honestly not much is new. I finished up another semester of graduate school. I haven't gotten a grade yet, but I have obsessively checked every hour to see if it was posted! Next semester I'm going to be taking the max credits so I'll be ready for my first residency in May. Today, I booked my hotel and flight for my Atlanta residency... It was 1200 bucks for hotel and flight!!!! That doesn't include 1400 dollars residency tuition, food, supplies, etc... I am SO in debt! I just keep telling myself it will all be worth it in the end! The residency is 7 days and is in Atlanta Georgia. My first trip to Atlanta in 2004 was kind of a nightmare! My friend and I stayed in a really bad neighborhood, and were basically terrified all night! Instead of staying 2 days, we only stayed a few hours! It was crazy! So, I'm a little nervous about going again, especially by myself! I'm sure it will be all good though!

Well, spring in Idaho is SLOW coming! It has been windy and cold for a week now! I am SO ready for warm weather!!! Luckily, I am heading to New Mexico the first week in April! My brother and his wife are expecting a baby any day now, so I am going to visit as well as my mom, sister, her boyfriend, and her kids. My brother and her wife are having another little girl. They are going to name her Rosie Lyn! I'm REALLY excited, and I hope it is WARM while I'm there!

Work is going pretty well. The kids I work with are overall pretty good kids. Some days are more challenging than others, but it's worth it. I can't wait until I can start my internship though, I would really like some clinical experience!!

My animals are still rad! They keep me laughing all day! Um... Yeah, I think that's all... Except the fact that I have to give myself shots now, which sucks!!! But I'm getting used to it.

Where was McDreamy or... McSteamy?

Well, today has been a no good, very bad, rotten day... I got to work this morning and was walking into the building when........ BAM, I slipped on the ice. I hit my head and was knocked unconscious! Well, I don't really remember anything after that, but apparently I had 2 seizures and my blood sugar was 50! So, they gave me an IV of sugar and thought I would wake up.... well, I didn't... So, I was rushed to the ER and given CT scans and all that jazz. I'm fine, just sore and bruised up... but after I woke up and realized I was in the hospital, I wondered...... Where is McDreamy, or McSteamy, or JD from Scrubs... I mean, not the actual actors, but the TV shows about ER and hospitals are SOOOO fake. I mean, I knew this, but today I really realized how rediculous the shows are. I mean, I'm still gonna watch 'em, because they make me happy, but how lame. My doctor was totally NOT cute and was a total ASS, and not like House. So anyway... I'm home bein' all sore, but the kids did make me cards, and one of the teachers, who is also my neighbor, brought them over to me. So that was good.

It's been way too long!!

Okay, so I'm a slacker!! I have been meaning to write and post some pictures, but time just gets by me. So here is your update post!

I still love my dog more than anything!!! My cats have decided they love the pup! This is Chester and Princess cuddling up!

So anyway... there is a little update :)

First blog of the year...

Okay, so I should probably write all about New Year's resolutions and keeping them and losing weight and staying healthy and getting organized... But I'M NOT GONNA! I make resolutions, and I keep them to myself. I heard a therapist say once that if you tell people your resolutions they will more likely support you, and you will stick with them. Whatev... I want to keep my private... so there you go.

So what should I blog about for my first post of the new year? I honestly have no clue! I love movies... so lets blog about some of my current favorite movies!

1. Baby Mama. If you have never seen this movie, go rent it now... really, RIGHT NOW! This is basically the funniest movie I have seen in a LONG time! Honestly... I am so happy they made this movie!

2. I'm going to list Bedtime Stories because it IS Adam Sandler... and he is a comedy genius! It is family friendly, which is totally awesome! I loved the movie... but did you expect anything different?

3. Four Christmases. I thought this would be the DUMBEST movie... I am not typically a Vince Vaughn fan... but honestly, I laughed ALL the way through this movie! It truly reminded me of how honestly redneck my own family is! sorry family :)

4. Yes Man. Jim Carrey is AMAZING! This movie made me want to pee my pants laughing! Go see it! It is worth the 7 bucks, trust me!!

5. Bucket List. Great movie! Honestly, it is funny and touchy feely all at the same time! I did cry at the end, but they were happy a little sad tears.

6. Tuesdays with Morrie. But only if you wanna cry!

7. The Great Debaters. I hate racism!

8. Little Miss Sunshine... Just funny... not much more to say...

9. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind...

10. Monster-In-Law................... My ex-mother-in-law was 10 TIMES WORSE! I secretly hope she reads this blog!

1. Twilight. I did enjoy the books don't tell anyone. But I did not enjoy the movie. For one, Edward was not attractive at all! I honestly thought he would be amazing looking... but eh, not so much!

2. The Strangers. I thought it would be super scary... but nope... lame! It was really short and...... lame.

3. Knocked Up... It looked super funny... but Hellz no! It was lame!
